Where the wild chargers are: Infrastructure report…
Some states have chargers but few actual plug-in cars; others have vehicles but not many stations.
In 2023, almost 1.2 million light-duty EVs were registered and on the road in California—nearly a million more than second-place Florida or third-place Texas.
That said, Wyoming leads the nation in charging stations per EV, with 22.12 chargers for every 100 registered EVs in the state.
While installation rates are rising, some believe the US will not have the public charging infrastructure to meet growing EV demand.
With 60,000+ Superchargers, Tesla owns and operates the most extensive global, fast-charging network. Located on major routes near convenient amenities, Superchargers keep you charged while away from home. Plug in, charge, and go.
Tesla continues to expand the network, with plans to add new stations and enhance coverage, especially in underserved areas. Upcoming innovations include higher charging speeds and broader compatibility with non-Tesla EVs.
Bookmark Supercharge.Info to see the latest updates to this network (including new non-Tesla chargers).
Hyundai EV Owners: You Can Get A Tesla NACS Adapter For Free. Christmas came a couple of days early from Hyundai this year. The Tesla North American Charging Standard adapter will be free in Q1.

All new electric vehicles receive a range estimate, just like gas vehicles see EPA-estimated fuel consumption ratings. However, much like their gas-powered counterparts, there are several ways to improve the situation immediately, including factors that impact the distance an EV can travel on one charge.
If you own an electric vehicle and see a shorter range than expected, you can do a few things to improve the situation immediately. Most won’t cost you anything more than a few minutes and extra care from behind the wheel.
Here are some things you can do to improve your EV range overnight.
